10/30/2023 0 Comments My very own lith trophiesThere are a lot of variants packed in there to change things up as you progress through the game, too. I’ve replaced almost all of the content in Talk – Anything to be less about clues and more just fun, random stuff that’ll help you get to know Lith. The Talk – Anything section used to be the main source of hints on how to play, but it tended to be really immersion-breaking, and I knew when I finally got the new hint system set up that it was time for all that mess to go. There are two new sections of content, the early game has been heavily revamped, a limited system for customizing your species is up and running, two new pieces of art are in there, and lots of little changes besides. Now! This update has a wide variety of changes in it, so I’ve got a lot to cover. We’re still polishing it up, but I hope a lot of folks out there will be relieved to have this alternative up and running. We just got this into a playable state, and there are definitely still a lot of bugs in there right now, so if you run into any please shoot us an email so we can get things tidied up! Right now you’ll have to start a new game to play on there, but the full storyline is all there, and we’re hoping to get cross-compatibility through the save backup system going in a week or two. ![]() ![]() It’s a little slower switching pages and loading art, so you may see a little more blinking than usual. HTML5 means you have to play online– you’re basically browsing a site set up to function identically to the game. We also have less to worry about with Flash “dying,” though the flash version should still be playable even after support ends, as I understand it. This means you don’t have to wrestle with making Flash work anymore, and the game should be playable on just about every device, including iOS. One other big piece of news before I get started on the release itself, actually: My Very Own Lith is now available on HTML5! Kylor has been awesome with getting the game ported and rebuilt to work on a whole new code base. You can get a quick summary of everything and links to the surveys here, or you can start from the very beginning of the discussion here. Thank you so, SO much for making this game, i don’t think i could have become the person i am today without it, i don’t expect you to read this comment, but, if you do, i really appreaciate what you have done for me.If by some chance you haven’t heard about this already, I’ve been talking a ton about how MVOL has turned out and what’s next, and I’ve put out four surveys to get input from all of you on how things went and what I should do from here! This is the last time I’ll be plugging it, and in a week or so I’ll be pulling the final data and getting started on some tough choices. Re-reading this reply im making actually makes me feel a bit dumb, i keep talking about this game like it changed my life ( i mean it kinda did ), but the thing is, i think i might have runned out of things to say about it, wich kinda dissapoints myself, i feel like i should have said MUCH more about this game, but i just can’t find the words for it, i guess i can just say this once more. ![]() This game has also been the game who has the record for making me almost cry all the time im playing it, be it beacause im happy or sad. I honestly, have never seen a history make me doubt my decisions so much, specially when Lith was split apart and i could not load a save, i was almost dying of dread at that point, just trying to pick a option was like taking a shot in the dark inside a cave, it felt like i was actually there, suffereing the consequences of my actions, it felt too real for me. Another few things i want to add after making this comment.
